BYU V. Air Force!

Hey, guys sorry I haven't been updating on all the BYU games.
But today BYU played Air Force and it was AMAZING!!!!!
There was one play where Max Hall had the ball and passed it to Austin Collie, and before you know it.... TOUCHDOWN!!!!! It was awesome!
Then there was a play were Fui Vakapuna had the ball and ran it, but there were a ton of Air force players on him but he still maneged to make a touchdown! He just pushed right through!
Although, Max Hall tried to run it a few times and it didn't work out. He would either fumble it, or he would get run down, stuff like that. There was one play where we were about to make a touchdown and Max was running it and he fumbeld it! I was so mad!!!!! But he made up for it later on in the game :)
This game was intense, not necessarily in the score, (although they were ahead of us in the second quarter,) Air force is a very good team, they are tied with TCU, and we lost to TCU so we weren't sure if we could beat this team. But we did it!!!
Next week we are playing Utah!!! SCARY!! Utah is undefeated! But we will see what happens, I am definitely writing about that game! :)
Remember.... GO COUGARS!!!
p.s. Rankings in the Mountain West Conference. (as far as Utah, BYU, TCU, and Air Force)
1. Utah: 7-0
2. BYU: 6-1
2. TCU: 6-1
3. Air Force: 5-2

BYU VS. Wyoming! (Home Game)

HOLY COW!!!! THIS GAME WAS ALMOST AS AMAZING AS THE UCLA GAME!!
Now we all know that Wyoming is not the best team ever, and we proved that in this game that we just barley played against them. We beat Wyoming 44 to ZIP!!! It was crazy! I was actually kind of surprised, we beat another team x amount of points... to NOTHING!! Twice in a row, first UCLA and then Wyoming! Crazy! In those past two games we got 103 points to NOTHING!!! Amazing!
The problem with Wyoming was that they kept fumbling the ball! Just like UCLA did, and they did not have a very good offense. I guess they had an OK defense, I mean we got 44 points against them, but when we played UCLA we got 59 points! What does that tell you?
Of course every team member of the cougar team did a great job! Austen Collie, Fuie Vacapuna, Harvey Unga, Max Hall, and a lot of other great team players. Bronco did a great job as well! He is such a great coach. He is not as great as Lavell Edwards, but he is getting there. Since I was like 6 years old when Lavell retired, Bronco is kind of my Lavell Edwards.
Well that's all I have to say for this game, if anyone did not get the chance to see a game, my blog is the best place to come! I will be writing about every BYU game this season, home and away. This Saturday there is no game, but next Friday we are playing Utah State! Hope you get a chance to see it, it is going to be awesome!
And Remember... GO COUGARS!!!

P.S. sorry this is such a late post.

Friday Night!

My Friday night was AWESOME! I didn't think it was going to be that fun, because chessie asked me if I would help her volunteer with a cherry hill elementry carnival, now how fun does that sound? Not very, but I said yes just cause I didn't want to be mean!
So we left at 4:15, and it started at 4:30. Se set up our stuff and go the tattoos ( oh ya I I forgot to tell you we were doing washable tattoo's)But I was not the only one helping! We had Rachel and Laura Henrie, and we also had Nathan Lawyer, they are some people in my ward.
At first it was kind of slow, but then it picked up and it got funner, Laura and I had a contest to see who could give the best tattoo (I lost most of the time :( ), then we kept hitting each other with wet towels we used for the tattoo's, and at the carnival they had that ride that is like the tea cups at Disneyland, they spin around (tara will know what I am talking about). We all got in one, and weSpanned it as fast as we could! It was so fun, but the one bad part about that ride was if you lean back, your back would hit the medal and it would hit you pretty hard! That happened to me, and I have a bruise to proof it! After that we helped clean up and chessie and I rode our bikes home. Then we came up with an idea. One of chessie's friends birthday is on Monday, and she wanted to make posters for her. So we thought that maybe we could go to Laura and Rachels house, make the posters, and watch AUGUST RUSH!!! Well that is exactly what we did! Nathan came along too. It was really fun, we had junk food, a good movie to watch, and we were lauging uncontrollably.
It was really fun, well I just thought I would tell you about my way AWESOME friday night!

BYU VS UCLA (Home Game)

Okay, sorry it has taken me so long to write about this game.
This past saterday I had the chance to go to the BYU VS. UCLA game and it was AMAZING!!!
I thought it was going to be a very close game, but it wasn't. It was 59 to 0!!!! CRAZY!!!! I thought UCLA was a good team, and I guess they are, but when we played them they just didn't have it together!
We kept makeing touch downs like you wouldn't believe! We would make a touch down, and then pass them the ball and they would fumble it! so we got the ball again and made another touch down in less then a minute!!!! That happend multiple times! And even one time, we were so close to the touch down we were going to to something (not sure what it was) that would get us the touch down very easily, but we decided to actually give UCLA a chance so we did a different play. BYU has such sportsmenship!
All of the BYU players did a great job!
It was a very hot day though! I got sunbernt. AND GUESS WHAT!!
I had painted my face for the game, and I had a Y on one side and cougar paw on the other. And I got sunberned on my cheack that had the cougar paw on it, and it burnt me and left a cougar paw mark! and its still there to this day! Its horrable, Sam Pittman took a picture of it and it is on his phone!
Well anyway, that is the BYU VS UCLA game!
I will write about next weeks game when it happens!
GO COUGARS!!!

We Remember.

Today is September 11Th 2008. 7 years ago today our country was under attack by terrorists in New York City. And my page today is dedicated to the men and women that died in the Two Towers that fell in New York City, and in the Pentagon in Washington D.C.
I remember when 9-11 happened. I was only in 4Th grade, but I remember that when I was just sitting in my class room doing some school work, my teacher came running in and turned on the TV and right as she turned it on, I saw the second plain hit the second tower! I had no idea what was happening, and I didn't understand (Remember I was only in 4Th grade). So I rushed home and when I walked into the house, all of my family was gathered around the TV, and my dad had his eyes wide open and my mom was crying. Then my sisters walked into the house and asked my dad if he saw what was happening, and they just sat down at the TV and watched the news, explaining what this hole think was about. But while they were explaining, they were showing the two towers on fire and ambulances showing up trying to put the fire out it was horrible, I never thought anything like this would happen in a million years!
Well later on, they found the remains of a plane that had crashed and burned out in the middle of no where, they said the name of that flight was "Flight 93". Everyone has heard that story. Well I hadn't until I was a little older. I remember watching a documentary about it on the History Channel one year and they interviewed family members from the people on that plane and they described what they heard and what their loved one's said to them in their final hours. I thought that sounded pretty touching, so I wanted to find out more about this Flight 93. Well about a few years later I found a movie called "Flight 93" it was based off of that story. So I rented it (and by this time I had known a little bit more about Flight 93) but when I watched that movie, that's when it really hit me! Those people on that plane had herd about the two towers from family members back home, they later found out that they were on a high jacked plane and that the people flying that plane were planning on doing the same thing that happened to the two towers, just somewhere different. They knew it was a suicidal mission, so in their opinion they figured that they were going to die anyway if they just let these terrorists crash the plane, so why not try to take control of the plane, and have a chance at saving their own lives and other people's lives. And as you know......... they chose that option and lost their lives.
Now you have to realize that they were not soldiers in the line of duty, they were ordinary people who decided that their country was more important then their own lives. What more could you ask of from your fellow countrymen? I am eternally in debt to those people.
The Two Towers and the Pentagon was a horrible disaster as well. Could you imagine, going to work in New York, on an ordinary day and just doing your work and feeling the building shake, and having the walls fall all around you. And your wondering, as you are laying there taking your final breaths..... "Why me??"
That is what I think.... "Why Us?" Why did the greatest country on earth have to have this happen to them. But now I understand that although September 11Th was a horrible tragedy,... it made all of us as a nation stronger! We are stronger then we ever were before. And as much as we wish that all the lives lost could come back, we are going to make sure that this is never going to happen again! EVER!!!!!! Not only in our country but in others as well.
For you people who don't agree with the war in Iraq, I don't know why you don't because this is what we are doing, we are getting ride of terrorism FOREVER! We are making sure that Millions of people don't die for no reason like on September 11Th.
I hope that everyone in this country and in the world knows that AMERICA can not be played around with, that we are going to fight back!
I hope everyone remembers all of the people that lost their lives in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, Flight 93, and the plane's that crashed into the Twin Towers.
Remember September 11Th today.. and always.

BYU VS. Washington! (Away Game)

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This game was inctence!!!!! I felt like I was comeing out of a Utah game!!!
This game.......... wow!
We made the first touch down, and then washington came and made a touch down, then we made a touch down, and they kept tyeing with us! It was scary!!!! Austin Callie wasn't doing too well in the first Quarter, but he came back. Vacapuna was doing great and so was Pitta and Unga! Washington had a lot of injuries though. There was this one player that landed on his neck and had to go to the Hospital! But the game went on!
So we were all tyed up with washington 21 to 21. And washington was doing great, but we made a touch down and then we were 28 to 21, and there was only 3 miutes left in the game. But that was enough time for Washington to make a touch down, so they did. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with 7 seconds left in the game, Washington was takeing their kick for the extra point, and if we just blocked this kick then we would win this game! AND WE DID!!!!!!! I'm not sure who did, but all I could see was a hand comeing out of that big group of football players! So after that we had 2 seconds left and we had practicaly won the game, but then all of the sudden the refs had to come and give washington another chance at that kick, witch I don't know why because either way we blocked it and desurved to win the game. But they kicked again but still didn't make it.... So WE WON!!!!!! 28 to 27!!!!
It was so so so scary!!!!!!! When BYU blocked that kick, Megan, my Dad, and I just stood up screaming!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could have been there to witness that victory. Oh well.
Well that was the BYU VS. Washington game!!!
I will tell you about UCLA next week! They are a very good team!
GO COURGARS!!!!

BYU VS. Northern Iowa (Home Game)

Yesterday was the first BYU game of the Season! It was Awesome!
We played Northern Iowa, and beat them 41 to 17!
Throughout the the hole game though it was hot! At the beginning of the game it was really really hot! But then it started to cool down a little bit after the first quarter, so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (in my opinion last years game was hotter!)
Oh and also, I think my Grandma made some new friends there! 23 year old friends! (ha ha, I don't know how old they were, but they were young, they looked like Megans Age!) So throughout the game she kept turning around and talking to them, and they would do the same thing! And every time BYU would make a Touch Down, they would give her a high five! It was funny!.
Well after the game, my grandma bought us Ice Cream from Baskin Robins! It was very good!
Well that is all about my first BYU football game of this season!
And I will be righting more about every football game of the season!
Remember......... GO COUGARS!!!!!( as my nephew would say :) )

Michael Phelps!

Holy Cow! Something amazing just happend tonight!
Michael Phelps won his 14 Gold Medal! It was crazy!
It was a relay race with Piersol, Hanson, Phelps and Lezak, the greatest team EVER!
A few days ago they had another relay race and it was very close, Lezak beat the french by not even a half a second and won the race for the USA!
Today was practiclly the same thing, except it was against Austraila! They were a very good team.
So the race started off with Piersol doing the breathstroke (I think). And then Hanson went doing the breaststroke, and then Phelps went doing the butterfly (his best swim) and then Lezak went last doing the freestyle. It was great!
Piersol and Hanson were doing great, but right when Phelps got in the water the Austrailian dude just sped up, and I serously thought for a moment that this guy would pass up Phelps through out the hole lap, but boy was I wrong! Phelps passed him up right before it was time for Lezak to take the last lap.
WOW!! Lezak did a great job! The Austrailian dude was right on his tail, but Lezak took it home and won the Gold Medal for Michael Phelps! It was crazy!
Then after that was the Medal cerimony and when they were playing the Natinal Athem, Michael looked like he was about to cry, because this was his last swim for this Olympics and he Just broke a record! The Most medals ever in Olympic history!
Now my sister says that in the Next summer Olympics he isn't going to do as many swims because he will be too old! Thats sad! But at least he got to make history this year in the 2008 summer Olympics!
GO MICHAEL PHELPS!

Hey!
Ok I forgot to write about one thing.
This past 24th of July weekend, we went to a family reunion for my mom's side of the family up at the timp. lodge, thursday-Saturday! That was fun!
Well we got home around 5:00 Saturday night, and Megan, my parents and I were planing on going to a Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert Freaturing the Osmond Family! Thats the only reason my mom wanted to go in the first place! :)
So anyway, we get in our seats and we watch the show! It was pretty good! If you know the osmond family, you know that before Donny and Merie, there were the Four Older brothers that started off first! Well this show was their last show ever! Before they retire! So it was for them! Like I said it was pretty good!
Well after the show we are walking twards the door and I see my dad talking to someone, and before I knew it my dad grabs my arm and pulls me over to him, and says. "Courtney, this is Dale you remember him!"
It was so weird! Dale!!!! The Dale from West Jorden that used to work for my dad! It was crazy to see him again, he looked a lot different! And the cool part was... He rememberd me! he rememberd my name and everything! It was so cool! He rememberd Megan too!
He was like "Courtney, I remember when I met you, you where four years old! Now I have my own four year old!"
It was cool to see him again! he was my best buddy growing up (now my sisters tease me and say That I had a crush on him!) But I don't Tara... so ha!
Well thats all I had to say!

Batman!!

Oh My Goodness!!!!!
I just saw one of the best movies ever on Saterday! and it is called........ dnananananana.. BATMAN!
It was an amazing movie! Very intence, and not really like the older batman's.
It was kind of scary at some parts too, it wasn't violent.
They had an all star cast in this!
Christian Bale did a great Job as Batman (As always) and you can not tell that it is him! Like in the older batman's you could tell that it was Bruce Wayne under that mask. But in this one he totally changes his voice and it's just amazing!
And Of course, Heath Ledger did an AWESOME job as the Joker! He was Unbelievable! He totally got rid of his accent and since he is wearing a ton of makeup you can't really see his face and he just totally changes his additude. He is like Johnny Depp, were you see him in a movie like The Patriot or Broke back Mountian and then he turns around and plays a totally different Character such as the Joker! Its amazing! They say that they are going to make another one, to bad Heath won't be back to play the Joker!
It's so sad, this movie probably made a crap load of money and he is not even there to get his share and the glory!

Well anyway, thats my story about dnanananananana.... BATMAN!!!!

Happy Birthday America!

Ok, today was a GREAT 4th of July!!
I didnt go to the parade that my parents were in charge of because I was catching up on sleep that I loss until 5:00 in the morning. Thats a whole different story!
Anyway. At about 6:30 we had a BBQ with the family, and tara and the boy's came over! (Its always fun to have then around). And at the BBQ we had my dad's famous Hamburgers! YUMMMM SO GOOD!
Then after the BBQ Megan, Carlie, mom and dad, and I went to STADEUM OF FIRE!!!
It was sooo cool!
It started off with sky divers. Then we went on to greeting the soldiers in Iraq and Iran, and then the BULE MAN GROUP came out! They were so AMAZING! the things they did, I'm not even ganna try to describe it. But it was cool.
And then Glenn Beck came out a spoke to us... well he was basically the host of the show, so he spoke to us before the Blue man Group came out.
Then after that Miley Cyrus ran out on stage and started singing right off the bat. She sang a few songs then stoped to tell us how happy she was to be here for the 4th. I have to admit though it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be having her here. I knew a few of her songs, like two of them, but still it was fun.
Then after Miley, they had their famous FIRE WORKS!!! they were so cool, but we were really close to the fire works so we kept on getting ashes on us. By the time the fire works were over we were coverd in Ashes. But it was all good.
After all the fun was over, we came home a went to bed, and that was my 4th of july.
But I tried not to forget the men and women that are surving out in the feild right now and the sacrifices they make for this country. And I tried not to forget our four fathers who, when signing the Decleration of Independence, were basically signing their death warrent. They sacrificed alot so that we could have our freedoms today.

P.S. I am going to try to post a picture of the Stadeum of Fire as soon as I can :)

The Trek Video!

This is a video from my trek. None of use are talking, but it is us pulling a handcart, so you can see what it was like.

The Trek!!

This Trek was so AWESOME!!!!! It was one of the most spiritual and fun trips I have ever had!
My Family was Great! There were my ma and pa (Dave and Toma) Then there were my siblings. Chessie, Paris, Carrie, Jennings, Bryan, and Ben. They were all great and made the trip Awesome!
Also I had the chance to go on this trek with my dad and my sister, megan. My dad was a uncle (This was his third trek) and Megan was a Aunt (this was her second trek). We were all in different companies. I was in the Red companie, my dad was in the Green, and Megan was in the yellow.
We left at 5:15 in the morning wensday, June 11. It was a 7 hour bus ride up to Wyoming, to Martins cove. That was not the best, but I maneged. Once we got there it was so so windy I could not handle it. And it wasn't only windy but cold and wind and cold don't go well togeather!
We got to the visiters center of Martins cove where they show you a little video about the Pianeers, then they gave us our hand cart, we put our buckets in it and we pulled and pushed for 3 miles! It wasn't to hard actually.
Then after the 3 miles we finally got to our camp spot were we would be spending 2 nights at. We got all our stuff out of the hand cart and the truck that they drove up and we put up our tents and sat in the cold for a while until Dave could get a fire going. We shared a fire pit with the Assay family and they were awesome as well. Later that night we had dinner, sat around the fire, drank hot chocolate, then went to bed. Well guess what happned, the wind was blowing so hard that some girls in our stake, their tent had blown down and had broken their polls, had not where to sleep. So Toma asked if two of those girls could sleep in our tent, we were tight enough as it was but we maneged to get some room in there, but it was really squishy so I didnt get much sleep that night.
Ok I am going to take a break, but I will be back later to tell you about the next few days.

SCHOOLS OUT!!

SCHOOLS OUT!!!
Oh my Heck,I have been waiting for this day for a very long time! (it seems like).
It's kind of sad that this was my last year at Lakeridge, but now I am moving on with old friends and I am going to meet new freinds!!
I'm kind of scared to be going to an actual High School!
But I am not worring about that, I am just going to Enjoy the SUMMER!!!

Monday, May 26, 2008

Today, my family and I had a BBQ for Mermorial Day!
It was fun! My little nephews were fun (as usual) and I had a great day.
But through all the fun I had today, I couldn't forget about the Men and Wemen who surved and who are currently serving in the Army right now. I am so greatful for their sacrifice, I know it would be hard for me to die for people I don't even know. Their sacrifice is more then I can comperhend, and I am greatful for them.
Right now I have two people I know serving in the Army. Clay (my cousin) and Gavin (my brother in-law's step brother).
They alone have done so much for this country.
Clay just got premoted to a speacial rank (I'm not sure what it is, I am not a big army person)
And Gavin is coming home soon, he comes home either in June or July of this year (I think)
Well I just wanted to pay a tribute to the soldiers out there and the one's who surved and died for us in the past.

Indiana Jones!!!

Today I saw Indiana Jones: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!!! It came out today in theaters!!! It ROCKED!!!!
It was sooo awesome! I'm not sure what one's the best one from all four of them though.
We went to the 9:45 movie and we waited in line for about half an hour, and we got good seats!
I am so ready to go again! Tara remember, when you go see it you're buddy here wants to see it with you!
